We've added a third day! The NNP Symposium will now be August 28-30.
In early August, once we've finalized the schedule, we'll send out a document with Zoom links to each presentation. If you've already registered, you'll get an email at the address you provided during registration. If you register after this is ready to go, you'll be able to view it right after registration.
Before the Symposium, we'll give you the opportunity to join a Zoom session as a test run for the event. This will give you a chance to use the software, troubleshoot, and ask any questions you have before the event itself.
On August 28, 29, and 30 from 8:00-6:00 EST we'll be hosting presentations live. You're welcome to tune in to as many or as few as you like.
Wait, will I be on camera?
Only if you want to be and it's a club or discussion group format. In these cases, you're welcome to turn on your camera and microphone to participate, or leave them off to observe. For informative presentations, we'll be using Zoom Webinars so only the presenter can be on camera. You'll be able to submit questions in a text chat, and we'll give the opportunity to let attendees speak during Q&As.
By mid-September, we'll have the presentations uploaded to the Newman Numismatic Portal. You're welcome to share them with friends, or go back and watch any that you missed. We recommend watching them live since you won't be able to participate if you wait until later, but we know that sometimes schedules get in the way.
But that's not all! If you want to share your collection, consider submitting an exhibit. Our rules are much more flexible than exhibiting at an in-person coin show, and we'll be memorializing your collection on the NNP along with the presentations. We'll send out a survey during the Symposium to allow everyone to vote for a Best in Show, so put your best foot forward!
