In early March we'll send out a PDF schedule with links to each presentation on Zoom. This is all you'll need to join in any presentations you'd like to watch.
Before the Symposium, we'll give you the opportunity to join a Zoom session as a test run for the event. This will give you a chance to use the software, troubleshoot, and ask any questions you have before the event itself.
On the scheduled days, we'll be hosting presentations live. You're welcome to tune in to as many or as few as you like.
Wait, will I be on camera?
Only if you want to be and it's a club or discussion group format. In these cases, you're welcome to turn on your camera and microphone to participate, or leave them off to observe. For informative presentations, we'll be using Zoom Webinars so only the presenter can be on camera. You'll be able to submit questions in a text chat.
By about two weeks after the Symposium, we'll have the presentations uploaded to the Newman Numismatic Portal. You're welcome to share them with friends, or go back and watch any that you missed. We recommend watching them live since you won't be able to participate if you wait until later, but we know that sometimes schedules get in the way.
